Listening to the Canyon

For those of you who have stood on the edge of the Grand Canyon, you understand why it is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world. But floating down its belly for a week is an adventure of a lifetime.

This was my second trip down the Canyon and this time we took a Cold Water Media film crew. But it wasn’t just to record the vast beauty, which is beyond imagination, but it was to examine the abundant geological evidence that the Canyon displays for us and to ask if that evidence supports the standard geological story told in many of our textbooks and universities or does the evidence support the historical details found in another book—one of mankind’s oldest?

There is still some filming to be done (in the high desert of Peru, oddly enough) but I hope we will someday be able to finish this project: a set of DVDs entitled “Listening to the Canyon”.
